How We Started
The tale behind the Lounge.
Ralph Wilson Social started in a shared studio space in Manchester in 2022, born from a straightforward disagreement with how most casino-themed games work. Three of us came from board-game publishing; the rest had spent years in indie mobile development.
We wanted a social game that looked the part without ever asking anyone for money. We built the Velvet Reels demo in eight weeks, shipped it quietly, and spent the next year listening to players.
